Two men have been arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences following a police operation in Motherwell.

Around 3.30pm on Friday (May 20), officers stopped and searched a car in Jerviston Steet, discovering a quantity of drugs.

The drugs, believed to be heroin, are worth an estimated street value of £150,000.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the seizure.

Officers also searched a house in Jerviston Street and a property in Langa Street, Glasgow, in

connection with the same operation.

A quantity of cash was recovered and a 37 year old man was arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences.

The men are due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.
