BUDDING young artists from Netherlee and Our Lady of the Missions primaries have received their first official commission.

Pupils at both schools were asked to design logos for Netherlee and Stamperland community council to use — a design which illustrated the council’s work in the area.

Chairman Bill Considine was very impressed by the standard of entries, and chose a winner from each school — Nina Jackson from Netherlee and Oonagh O’Sullivan from OLM — with each used in the council’s new logo.

Both winners received £25 in book tokens, and runners up received £10 vouchers.
