Eastwood park theatre brings the best of the Edinburgh Festival this autumn

If you missed out on this year's Edinburgh Festival or you just want to get in on the action all over again, don't despair! Eastwood Park Theatre is bringing a flavour of the festival to Glasgow's south side with some of its top rated shows. Here are the Top Three that you've got to see:

1. Stand By (September 14)

Stand By is a police drama with a twist – you’ll wear an earphone throughout and feel like you’re not just in the audience, you are actually part of the force. Follow four police officers sitting in a riot van and experience the tension and turmoil of life on the frontline in this play, written by a former Police Officer and produced by Utter.

2. The Sky is Safe (September 16)

An outstanding cast and creative team from Dogstar Theatre combine to evoke a cry from the heart from the streets of Istanbul and the tragedy of Syria in this drama. The Sky is Safe is a love story and war story written by Matthew Zajac after visiting Istanbul and interviewing Syrian women rebuilding their lives.

3. Butterfly and Out of the Bad (November 2)

Two one-act plays. In 1987, the management of the Caterpillar factory in Uddingston announced that the factory was to close. Butterfly and Out of the Bad focus on the effect the closure had on those who worked in the factory and lived in the local community.
