IN Gazette Sport this week we reveal how a much needed £3400 grant could help save the long-term future of Biggar Snooker Club as it will pay for new table cloths, pockets and cushions and carpeting at their base in Howiesons Square.
Also celebrating an influx of new cash are teachers and pupils at Lesmahagow High, as an £8600 Awards For All grant will cover transport costs when the school’s sports teams travel to away fixtures.
Lanark Grammar School gymnasts have been in gymnastics title-winning form, while Carluke Rovers are up to third in the Central Division 1 table after a 1-0 home victory over Bellshill.
We’ve also got the prize night photographs from Lanark Thistle, Douglas Victoria and Coalburn Bowling Clubs.
For more information on all of these stories, make sure you pick up a copy of this week’s Carluke and Lanark Gazette which is in the shops from this Wednesday, November 28.
