From virtual shot putt to throwing socks for Law and District AAC kids!
Law & District AAC under-15 athlete Jade Gray was eighth with a personal best throw of 10.85m at a recent international Virtual Shott Putt competition organised by York-based Valhalla Academy.
Around 200 athletes competed while raising money for NHS charities, with Jade’s under-17 clubmate Shannon Gough throwing 10.7m to finish 11th class. And Erin Gough was 20th in the under-13 event with a new PB of 5.08m.
Meanwhile, younger Law athletes contested the latest Scottish Athletics virtual SUPERteam round with round one being a 75m shuttle run before round two saw athletes attempt to throw socks into a basket from 5m.
Under 12 Andrew Kay lost some of his dad’s socks over the neighbour’s garden fence, but senior Rich Beattie managed nine out of 20.
Law father and son Darran and Ryan Muir were selected by Scottish Athletics to demonstate all four SUPERteams challenges.
