Rabs went down 2-0 to Glenafton at Guy’s Meadow last Saturday, only their second Super League Premier Division reverse of the season.

Their only other defeat was at the hands of Shettleston on September 15 as Stewart Maxwell’s men enjoyed a fine first half to the season following last season’s promotion.

But with postponements meaning the Glenafton game was only their second league match since the end of the October, Rabs have now slipped from top spot and sit third in the table.

Glenafton are the new leaders, a point clear of both Auchinleck Talbot and Rob Roy.

Beith are third bottom but are unbeaten at home in the league this season.

Meanwhile the draw for the third round of the New Coin Holdings West of Scotland Cup has given Rob Roy a home tie against either Cl;ydebank or Whitletts Victoria.

But the Kirkintilloch side will be away - to Lesmahagow - in the first round of the Central League Cup.
