United took the lead in the first minute when a Lawson free-kick was played into the box by Ronan Kearney for Stephen Kane to score from close range.

But the Ants levelled five minutes later when Chris Gordon netted a cross from the right.

And United fell behind when a left wing cross was turned into his own net by Stuart Annetts.

Shaun Gallagher should have equalised on 38 minutes after rounding the ‘keeper, but with the open goal gaping he stumbled and sent the ball wide.

Ants striker Jack Heron was then guilty of missing a sitter when he blasted over.

Lanark pressed strongly late on and were rewarded in injury time when Gallagher showed terrific footwork to control the ball on the bye line before steering the ball into the net from a tight angle to secure a share of the points in this Central Division 2 clash.
