Hide AdClyde made a good start to the game and Brian McQueen had a chance to put them ahead, but his shot from the edge of the box was wide of the target.
The visitors continued to make the more positive moves in the first half, but Shire almost took the lead just before the interval. A free-kick into the Clyde box dropped towards Bolochoweckyj, but from point-blank range he somehow missed the target and the sides went in all square at the interval.
It took until the 72nd minute before the deadlock was broken. A long throw from John Sweeney found Stefan McCluskey in the six yard box and he fired in his third goal of the season.
Kevin Watt almost grabbed a winner late on, but his effort was cleaered off the line.
