Hampden has fans at Euro 2020
The Scottish FA has welcomed confirmation from UEFA that Hampden Park will be able to host its four Euro 2020 matches with 12,000 supporters in attendance.
Scotland’s Group D clashes with the Czech Republic (June 14) and Croatia (June 22), as well as Croatia’s group clash with the Czechs on June 18 and a round of 16 game on June 29, will now take place in a stadium at 25 per cent capacity thanks to coronavirus lockdown easing.
Scottish FA President Rod Petrie said: “An enormous amount of effort has gone into the submission but also in ensuring Hampden Park is ready to welcome supporters, not least with Scotland having secured qualification.”
Plans for a Fan Zone in Glasgow are being considered.
