Rossvale BC........................3

Black Watch’s last game before their Scottish Cup semi final next Sunday saw them drop two valuable points to a talented Rossvale side at Merkland astro grass on Saturday.

Blackies were made to look ordinary against a team that is improving continually and is a credit to the coaches who are working so hard to make an impact in 21 football.

Watch could not have asked for a better start when they went ahead in the 11th minute.

McCluskey passed down the right to O’Hear, the ball went in field to Maguire and the pass to Aitken saw the striker place the ball past the keeper.

Rossvale equalised in the 15th minute and it saw the Watch defence caught flat footed.

Lynch raced from the Watch defenders on the right and the ball then went onto Clarke who dispatched it high over keeper Storey.

In the 50th minute Rossvale were awarded a penalty for a foul committed in the six yard mark. Clarke made it 2-1, making no mistake from the spot.

Watch were awarded a penalty in the 75th minute handball. Nicky Prentice made no mistake from the spot.

Two minutes later it was another penalty to Rossvale when a player was upended as he raced into the box.

Connor Clarke made it the perfect afternoon scoring from the spot to complete his hat-trick.

On Sunday Watch, in a bid to reach their 16th Scottish Cup final, will play Mill United at Adamslie Park with a 1pm kick off.

Watch appreciate Rob Roy’s committee making the park available and it’s hoped there will be a good turnout for what should be a cracking cup tie.
