With almost 5,000 pubs and bars across Scotland, there's plenty to choose from when it comes to enjoying your favourite tipple.
But if you want to know the best places to go in the UK then the National Pub and Bar Awards have just announced the 94 county winning pubs - and 32 of them are north of the border.
The winners are judged on overall retail excellence, best practice and individual entrepreneurship and the overall UK winner will be announced at a glitzy red carpet event in London on 23 May.
Scottish pubs on the shortlist include Dundee's The West House where locals rave about tasty breakfasts and brunches, Pitlochry's family owned Old Mill Inn and the German inspired West on The Green in Glasgow.

Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub & Bar magazine, which runs the awards, said: “This positive, industry-boosting news comes at a time when closures of pubs and bars are too often focused on in the press.
“The sole purpose of the National Pub & Bar Awards is to tell as many people as possible about the incredible businesses that these County Winners are running.
“With 94 triumphant pubs on the winners' list, chances are that every person in the UK will have an award-winning pub near them. Get out there and see these places for yourselves.”
