IT’S been a busy week in Clydesdale and there is plenty of exciting stories inside your 52-page Gazette.
Lanark and Carluke Choral Union members enjoyed a trip to New York which couldn’t be Trumped – for they sang at Carnegie Hall and met American tycoon Donald Trump.
Early notice has been given that some of the £20 million in proposed council service cuts, many of them affecting Clydesdale, will face strong opposition at a ‘crunch’ meeting next month.
We also report on the news that the Wallace Express depot in Lanark is set to close with the loss of around 40 jobs.
However, the campaign to save Carluke High Mill received another boost this week thanks to a bumper cheque from Lanark Round Table members.
Plus we have several picture spreads from the various Burns Suppers and Scottish celebrations taking place throughout Clydesdale.
It’s all in this week’s Gazette, priced at 80p.
