Shawlands Chiropractic raises more than £1,000 in memory of Billy

MOST people who have heard of motor neurone disease recognise it as the condition afflicting professor Stephen Hawking.

However, 130 people in Scotland are diagnosed with it each year.

Shawlands Chiropractic recently held a charity day in memory of one sufferer, Billy McAlaney, (pictured )who passed away in August this year.

They managed to raise more than a whopping £1,000 for MND Scotland on December 5 — just 20 days before Christmas.

Services were provided free of charge for the entire day and clients were asked for a monetary donation of whatever amount they thought fair.

The people of Shawlands generously responded.
