A biker has died in a crash in South Lanarkshire.
The 49-year-old man was on a white BMW 1000 RR motorbike when it was involved in a collision with a car in Cambuslang.
The crash happened at around 4.15pm on Friday on the town's Main Street near the junction with Beech Avenue.
Emergency services attended and the biker was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the orange Vauxhaul Adam car was not injured.
Police closed the road for around six hours for investigations.
Sergeant Craig McDonald said: "At this time our inquiries are continuing into the cause of the crash.
"Officers have been checking CCTV, however we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash take place, or who was either driving or walking down Main Street, Cambuslang, immediately before the time of the crash to come forward and contact us."
