CARLUKE’S John Cumming Stadium was a sea of yellow on Sunday as hundreds took part in this year’s Carluke on the Run to raise funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity.
The stadium was packed to the rafters with record entries for both the Family Fun Mile races and the Five Mile Road Race which started and finished at the stadium.
Trust development manager Kathleen Feeney said: “We are hoping that this is just the start of the event growing over the next few years.
“We could have an incredible legacy for people in the town. On Sunday we saw a lot of brave people completing their run because they, or a family member or friend, has been affected by cancer.
“We are hoping that we will have a final total in the next couple of weeks.”
All the results for the fun mile and the five mile race are now available on the Trust website, www.carluketrust.org.uk.
