Mixed reaction to new Cumbernauld-Glasgow bus service

A NEW bus service could be set to improve public transport links between Cumbernauld North and Glasgow.

Dunn’s Coaches have announced a new X10 service which will take passengers straight into Glasgow at early morning peak times and back home again at evening peak times.

Fraser Dunn, director of Dunn’s Coaches said: “We’ve put the new bus on because of the lack of service in the area and it will be an express service.

“We will have two services in the morning and two at night. If it’s successful there’s scope to change the times.”

But the news has met with a mixed reaction, amid concerns that the service may end up competing with another service.
