The charity’s Christmas Toy Appeal has been an overwhelming success with toys and money coming into the charity’s base in Carluke and at the Bridge Church in Lanark, one of New Beginnings’ many local partners.

New Beginnings manager Mary McLellan said: “The response has been phenomenal and we still have toys and finance coming in.

“We have also had record donations for our festive food packs and I would like to thanks each and every member of the public who has given something.

“It has been a busy few weeks but it will be worth it; I think I will need a large gin and tonic when the appeal ends on Friday!”

Contributors can drop off toys or financial donations to the charity’s base in Kilmory Road, Carluke or at the Bridge Church in Lanark until Friday.

Alternatively you can call Mary on 07554 736015 or log onto the charity’s website.
