THE galloping of horses’ hooves was in ample supply at Lanark Racecourse last Tuesday night for the traditional Lanimer Chases.
The popular series of races followed the official Ride Out of new Lord Cornet Stephen Pillans.
After the hotly-contested races, the horse riders made their way down to New Lanark for the presentation of trophies.
And the long-running tradition of presenting the Lanimer Queen with a Loving Cup also continued, with Erin Snow accepting the gift from New Lanark Community Council chairwoman Pauline Mathieson.
Freelance photographer Rodger Price was on hand to capture all the Tuesday night fun for the Gazette. And, for your viewing pleasure, we’ve featured all of his pictures in our slideshow!
