Kirkintilloch family raises funds for children’s hospital
A charity evening in Kirkintilloch Miners Club has raised a fantastic £2,500 for the cystic fibrosis ward at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital.
The fundraising event was organised by Kirkintilloch woman Margaret Smith and her family. Margaret’s great-grandaughters, Kiara and Jessica-Paige Barrie, were born with cystic fibrosis.
Margaret and members of her family are pictured with Davie Quinn, from Kirkintilloch Miners, handing over a bumper cheque to Yorkhill Hospital nurses Linda Cassidy and Fiona Collins. Margaret thanked Flo, all the staff at the Miners and everyone who supported the event.
