Kilncadzow woman Gayle Whitefield trains for marathon in Dubai
TRAINING in the searing heat of Dubai has helped 24-year-old Gayle Whitefield achieve her personal best marathon time.
On Sunday Gayle, from Kilncadzow, ran a time of four hours and five minutes in the Isle of Man marathon – having already competed in three Edinburgh Marathons.
Working in Dubai as a primary school teacher means that Gayle was forced to train, for the most part, in the searing temperatures of the Middle East.
