No less than three major events coalesce in Queens Park over the two days - the Glasgow Unity Festival, Govanhill International Carnival and the Govanhill Against Racism concert.

The weekend opens with The Glasgow Unity Festival, which explores the south side’s diverse and multicultural community and how it shapes our heritage.

Today a parade through Govanhill was set to head for the park and the Govanhill International Carnival 2017, (2pm to 5pm) where there will be music and family-friendly activities all afternoon.

The Govanhill Against Racism Festival organised by the Alistair Hullett Memorial Trust (AHMT) is a two day music event featuring two concerts.
