MEMBERS of Lanark group ICE turned the clock back at St Nicholas Church Hall to bring the sounds of the 50s to the town.
Rather than sitting staid in boring rows, throughout the three night run audiences were invited to enjoy the evening in cabaret-style seating, tapping their feet to the music and enjoying a drink.
As the show, by Independent Community Entertainment, got underway, audience members danced in the aisles to sounds that rocked an earlier generation – including songs by Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Connie Francis and Little Richard.
Others crooned quietly along to the hits of Nat King Cole, The Everley Brothers, Peggy Lee and many other popular artists.
But none outshone the enthusiasm and talent of Ice and their younger colleagues the ICEicles, who performed their hearts out for audiences throughout.
