PUPILS at Lanark Primary marked the European Day of Languages by holding a French Festival to celebrate the language and culture.
All 230 pupils at the school are learning French but their Fete Francaise gave them the chance to try out French food, games and sing songs.
And they were encouraged to go to school dressed in red, white and blue, the colours of the French flag or in any other French costume.
“It went incredibly well,” said languages co-ordinator Clare Carroll.
