Police are appealing for information after a 79-year-old woman was attacked by a large dog in Lanark in broad daylight.
The woman needed hospital treatment after the attack, but was able to return home.
That attack happened around 11.40am on Tuesday October 10, near to Dorricott Funeral Services, in Woodstock Road Lanark.
A man, aged 20-25, around 5’5”, and a female, with brown hair in a ponytail, wearing a pink anorak and jeans were in control of the dog, believed to be Alsatian-type in size and shape.
Anyone with information is urged to call police Scotland 101, or crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 as the owners of the dog still have to be traced.
