THERE is a lot going on outdoors today, so let’s hope the weather stays dry.

That is followed by the crowning of the queen around noon, and an afternoon of outdoor sports.
Castlebank Park in Lanark has a Volunteers Day from 11am, with a tour of the park and a talk on the work that has been done, followed by a barbecue, and the chance for new volunteers to sign up.
Friends of Burnbraes Park in Biggar are fundraising, but their event is indoors, a coffee morning in the Gillespie Centre from 10am until noon to help pay for the Park Fun Day in August.
