MEMBERS of two Lesmahagow organisations are aiming to create a new Community Action Plan for the village ahead of a major cash injection expected over the next few years.
Lesmahagow Community Council and Lesmahagow Development Trust members discussed the matter at the recent community council meeting.
It comes ahead of the village’s share of cash from the Kype Muir Windfarm which will be up and running by 2017.
Liz Montgomery, from the Development Trust, said: “If we can work together it will be a real benefit to everyone who lives here.
“The Trust would be able to bridge a lot of gaps in regards to projects which may require match-funding and it’s important that we plan early.”
New community council chairman Craig Ritchie added: “I think it’s important that we have a plan. We need to have as many people onboard as possible.”
