Carluke councillor Eileen Logan becomes new Provost of South Lanarkshire

CARLUKE councillor Eileen Logan has become the new Provost of South Lanarkshire - and achieved a unique double in the process.

Eileen, who has been a councillor for over 30 years, was given the honour by a unanimous vote from councillors, following the first meeting of the new council last week.

And it’s the second time Eileen (60) has been given the honour having been the first, and only, Provost of the old Clydesdale District Council from 1988 until 1996.
