CARLUKE businesses can now cast their vote on whether or not to back the town’s Business Improvement District (BID).
Ballot papers have been sent out and business owners have until June 19 to cast their vote with them being counted the following day at Carluke Lifestyles Centre.
If successful, the Hometown Carluke BID could see £640,000 being spent improving the town over the next five years .
The BID Steering Group has officially released its business plan to the 160 companies which ply their trade in the town.
BID vice-chairman and Bubbles Factory owner Martin Hannah said: “The opportunity for local businesses to do something is within our grasp.
“The business plan is there for everyone to see and if it’s successful we will have a collective voice.”
