Bus services back to normal

First Glasgow's 201 service has resumed its normal route following the reopening of North Road in Bellshill.

North Road was closed for 11 months due to M74/M8 development works and now allows for a direct connection to the A725 and Shawhead junction of the A8.

Services X11, 193, N240 and 241 will resume normal routes and timetables between Main Street and Crossgates Avenue in Cleland on Monday as the Biggar Road bridge reopens.

A First Glasgow spokesperson said: “We are very aware of the inconvenience caused to our customers during these roadworks, which were outside our control.

“We have tried to minimise disruption to customers where possible and would like to thank our passengers for their patience throughout these closure periods.

“We are very pleased to announce the return to normal timetables for the many hundreds of passengers served on these routes.”
