Buggy fitness class launched in Lanark

FOR some mums, shifting that extra baby weight after pregnancy is hard work and exhausting...

...but one Lanark mum is hoping to change that.

Personal trainer Gayle Tait is the woman behind a new buggy fitness class, which aims to help local mums shed their baby weight, get back into shape and look after their newly born bundles of joy.

Gayle (34) said: "Even when I was pregnant I still managed to exercise but I realise the difficulty some mums have in toning up.

"Buggy workouts have been in the UK since the 1990's so I was

surprised that there were no classes in this area.

"I've spoken to quite a few mums and the feedback I've had has been really positive."

The workout is developed to help new mums burn calories and shift any excess baby weight, whilst paying special attention to the muscles weakened as a result of pregnancy and childbirth.

To book a place on the class, held every Thursday, contact Gayle on 662315 or 07717 090438.
