OVER 30 people took part in a mass brawl outside Biggar’s Purves Puppet Theatre – but instead of fists flying through the air it was custard pies.
During Biggar Little Festival, the puppet theatre hosted a special screening of Hook, starring the late Robin Williams.
And the family-owned Purves team decided to recreate the famous imaginary food fight in the film.
Boys and girls jumped at the chance to take part – as did many mums and dads who also went along.
Puppet theatre director Ian Purves was amazed by the day’s events.
He said: “Everyone enjoyed what was a tremendous afternoon.
“First of all it was great to see the film with Robin Williams in it – he was a great loss to everyone when he passed away.
“The custard pie fight was incredible.
“There was a fantastic atmosphere at the puppet theatre that day and we have been getting a lot of Tweets and comments saying how great it all was so we couldn’t be happier.
“It was great to be part of Biggar Little Festival and hopefully next year we will be able to do something similar.”
Who knows; perhaps next year it will be more adults getting the chance to take part? Or is that just pie in the sky?
