Biggar accident victim dies in hospital

A MAN airlifted to hospital after an accident on the A73 near Biggar last week has died.

The 40-year-old, who is not being named yet, was flown to the new South Glasgow University Hospital in a “serious” condition after the road accident, in Thankerton, on Thursday May 14.

The police have now announced that he died there yesterday, Thursday May 21.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Police enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Motherwell Road Policing Department on 101.
