INCREDIBLY it’s 30 years ago since Peter, Ray, Egon and Winston ghosted onto the big screen – and to celebrate Vue Cinemas in Hamilton is hosting a special screening of Ghostbusters.

And the Gazette has teamed up with Vue to offer readers four pairs of tickets for the one night-only showings - but you need to move fast for your chance to win.

The film is on Wednesday, October 29 at 8pm and 10.30pm, and entries to our competition have to be in by 5pm on Monday, so grab a Gazette and get your entry in.

This 1984 supernatural comedy spectacular sees the odd-ball scientists getting kicked out of their cushy positions at a university in New York City.

They decide to set up shop in an old firehouse and become Ghostbusters –trapping ghosts, spirits and poltergeists for money.

They wise-crack their way through the city and stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, one which will release untold evil.

And only The Ghostbusters can save the Big Apple.

Starring Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Sigourney Weaver and featuring the iconic title song from Ray Parker Jr, Ghostbusters was a critical and commercial success, making it the highest grossing comedy of the 1980s.
