Meet the ghosts of the Citizens Theatre

For the first time, the Citizens Theatre is allowing a team of ghost hunters to tread its boards.

Theatres are famous for their ghostly activity and this famous Glasgow location is no different.

Over time, many patrons and staff members have reported ghostly sightings including a monk, an actor in full costume, a white lady dressed in Victorian costume and a strawberry seller girl, one of the most sighted of the Citizens ghost.

Lisa Tedstill from UK Ghost Nights, said: “Our Scottish Ghost Nights events are the best to offer in Scotland. Your night includes a tour with a medium to give insight into the location, a ghost hunting workshop introducing all the kit we use and how to get the best out of your night.

“Our guests are split into teams moving through zones in the location working with our expert paranormal investigators.

“We are a very well known company linked to UK Ghost Nights and the Citizens Theatre invited us to conduct public ghost hunts before they close their doors for a two-year refurbishment.

“We are very privileged to be the first to investigate the location and conducted a mini ghost hunt with the staff from the theatre last year. We are now very excited to have the public joining us for this final hoorah before they closer.”
