IT’S a case of better late than never for Clydesdale comedian John Gavin as he gets set for a gig at the Glasgow Comedy Festival.
John, who hails from Forth, wasn’t sure whether he would be part of this year’s festival and decided against putting a show together – only to change his mind after the deadline.
The 35-year-old said: “By the time I had decided to do a show all the venues were gone.
“Thankfully a venue became available and we were back in business; that’s why the show is called Late Addition.
“I’ve got enough new material as a lot of mine comes from either things that annoy or things that confuse me; at the moment Taylor Swift really annoys me.
“I’ve also started a college course. I’m the oldest guy by 13 years; you’ve no idea the cultural differences between a 35-year-old man and an 18-year-old boy!”
John Gavin’s Late Addition will be at the Yesbar in Glasgow this Saturday, March 28, from 10pm. Tickets cost £8 (£6 concessions) and are available from the Glasgow Comedy Festival website.
