HALL’S are to stage a world record attempt to create the largest haggis – and Biggar Rugby Club members have been cheering them on.
The resulting haggis will be displayed at this year’s Royal Highland Show today (Thursday.)
Hall’s, who were established in 1932, and taken over by family-run Brown’s Food Group in 2013, will attempt to achieve a Guinness World Record.
Hall’s sponsor Biggar Rugby Club, and players from the club got on to the pitch to help Hall’s attempt to kick the current Guinness World Record into touch.
Set in 2009, the weight to beat is just over half a ton, 7ft in length, 3ft in width, 1ft 9in in height and 6ft in circumference.
See this week’s Gazette for more details - and we will find out today whether they were successful.
