SCOTTISH singing star Eddi Reader has been confirmed as the first headline act at this year’s Biggar Little Festival.
The Fairground Attraction star’s concert will take place on Saturday, October 17, at Biggar Municipal Hall.
In the 1980s, Eddi travelled around Europe with circus and performance artists before moving to London where she quickly became a sought after session vocalist.
However, it was the group Fairground Attraction which really propelled her into the limelight. The single Perfect and album First of a Million Kisses both topped the British charts.
Eddi will join a long list of established stars to grace the stage in Biggar over the past few years including Ian Rankin, Kevin Bridges, Fred MacAulay and Alexander McCall Smith.
