THE gala season may be over but for all those counting the days until the summer holidays Biggar Big Band have a treat in store for you.
The band, together with local singer and actor Anthony Bowers, have teamed up to present a mid-summer ball - due to take place in Biggar Municipal Hall this coming Saturday.
Those attending will have the chance to dress up (or dress down if they prefer) and dance the night away with some classic, and indeed some modern swing music from Anthony and the band.
A two course meal is also included in the price and Mike Chad, from Biggar Big Band, is sure that it will be a fun filled night for all.
He said: “There is a bit of a gap between Biggar Gala Day and the summer holidays so we decided to have something in between and ticket sales so far have certainly been very encouraging.
