Beechgrove Garden...from Castlebank Park, Lanark?

A PROJECT to restore Castlebank pond in Lanark as a Japanese water garden is being considered by the BBC Beechgrove Garden series.

Pond life...could be restored in Castlebank Park, Lanark, if the Beechgrove Garden team get on board

The possible reinstatement of the pond has made the short leet for this year’s filming.

Members of the Beechgrove team visited the park on Wednesday to look at the possibility.

“It would be lovely to see it restored,” said Sylvia Russell, who chairs Lanark Community Development Trust, which has been co-ordinating the renovation of the park.
