The Haven, a registered charity which provides support to people affected by a range of life limiting illnesses and to their family members and carers in Blantyre, Wishaw and Forth, is holding an Information Fayre at their centre in Forth on 18 September for the people of Clydesdale.
This Information Fayre is for anyone in the local area who has been affected by a life limiting illness and who wants to find out what information and support is available to them.
Along with information on the services provided by The Haven there will also be representatives present from South Lanarkshire Carers Network, Carers Trust, South Lanarkshire Leisure’s Physical Activity Prescription, Prostate Scotland, Coop Funeralcare, Money Matters Advice Service and Tide Support for Dementia Carers.
Louise Gardner, Service Development Co-ordinator at The Haven said: “This Information Fayre is open to anyone at all in the Clydesdale area who has been affected by a life limiting illness, whether they are a carer, a family member or living with the illness.
“As well there being information available first hand from a number of extremely valuable organisations we will also be offering taster sessions in complimentary therapies to our visitors as well as tea, coffee and tours of the centre.
“If anyone in the local community is interested in speaking to us or any of the organisations in attendance or would just like to come and enjoy the Haven experience first hand we would urge them to pop along.”
