In a departure from the usual large and crowded fitness centres being opened around the country, the new gym run by East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, in Eastwood High Sports Centre, aims to give customers a more personal experience.

Kenny McDonnell, ERCL gyms and fitness team leader, said: “The new gym will give people a more personal experience when they come along.

“We are limiting the number of people who can use the gym at any one time and this will also give them more time with our fitness instructors. People, will get more of a personal service with advice on losing weight and becoming more fit and healthy.

“The new gym is a great addition to the fitness facilities at Eastwood High where we already offer a wide range of aerobic, fitness and well-being classes every week.”

Anthony McReavy, East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure chief executive, said: “With funding and support from East Renfrewshire Council to create this new gym, we’re giving people every opportunity to exercise more and become fit and healthy.”
