House prices in East Renfrewshire continue to rise
The significant boost contributes to the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area achieve 4.1 per cent annual growth.
The average East Renfrewshire house price in March was £232,220, according to Registers of Scotland figures – a 6.5 per cent increase on February.

Hide AdOver the month, the picture was better than that across Scotland, where prices increased just 0.4 per cent, and East Renfrewshire outperformed the 0.2 per cent drop for the UK as a whole.
Over the last year, the average sale price of property in East Renfrewshire rose by £9,200 – putting the area eighth among Scotland’s 32 local authorities for annual growth.
The best annual growth in Scotland was in the Scottish Borders, where properties increased on average by 12.3 per cent to £163,000. At the other end of the scale, properties in Orkney Islands dropped 6.0 per cent in value, giving an average price of £131,000.
Buyers paid 52.9 per cent more than the average price in Scotland (£152,000) in March for a property in East Renfrewshire.
