New developments are set to appear in Glasgow throughout 2024 as works continue to transform the face of the city with plenty of new buildings set to become more visible.

5. Duke Street Hospital
The B-listed Duke Street Hospital is to be restored back to flats by Loretto Housing. The history of the building dates back over 100 years ago to 1904 when it was first opened after being designed by London based architect Alfred Tiltman on the site of cattle sheds.
6. Shawlands Arcade
Plans to build 329 new flats on the site of Shawlands Arcade in Glasgow were approved in October with demolition and construction work likely to start in mid-2024.
7. Campbell House
A three-storey extension will be built and eight apartments created, with the ground floor remaining as office space at Campbell House near to Blythswood Square.
8. Osborne Street/Old Wynd
Glasgow City Council approved an application for 288 flats at the corner of Osborne Street/Old Wynd despite the fact it will obscure the Billy Connolly mural.
