THE Queen Elizabeth Silver Jubilee Ladies Pairs Bowls was held recently at Blackwood Victoria Bowling Club.

Winners were Mary Drummond and Faye Allison from Carnwath Bowling Club, with the runners up being Helen Masterton and Jessie Todd from Biggar Bowling Club.

In the semi finals, Mary and Faye defeated Christine McLellan and Moira Lewis from Lesmahagow Bowling Club, while Helen and Jessie defeated Margaret McSkimming and Dot Bruce from Blackwood Victoria Bowling Club.

Sport Clydesdale would like to thank Blackwood Victoria Bowling Club for hosting the competition, Margaret Brotherstone for her administration on the day and Frances Thomson for acting as umpire.
