Laura takes part in UK's largest youth football tournament

LANARK girl Laura Somerville recently took part in the largest youth football tournament in the UK, held in Manchester.

Teams competed from all over the world at various age levels.
Laura played for Falkirk under 17 girls, the team winning all their games in the lead up to the final.

Their opponent in the final was Reading Royle and at full time the score was 0-0 in a closely fought match.

The match went to a sudden death penalty shoot out with Laura stepping up and taking the eighth and winning penalty for Falkirk to win the Umbro International Cup for 2008.
