George K Robertson makes fourth hole-in-one at Carnwath

AN astonishing feat has been achieved at Carnwath Golf Club by pensioner George K Robertson (75), an 18-handicapper who recently made his fourth hole-in-one at the course.

Lanark resident George, who has been a Carnwath member for 67 years, made the ace with a Callaway five wood at the 11th hole, which measured 210 yards from the yellow tee.

"I just turned away and lifted my tee after hitting the shot," said the former University of Glasgow aerospace engineering technician. "I knew it was on line but had no idea it would end up in the hole.
