SENSATIONAL sisters Emily and Pamela McNicol are celebrating having achieved a unique double at the Scottish National Indoor Combined Events Championships held at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow.
Twelve-year-old Emily took gold in the under-14 Combined Events while Pamela (13) achieved bronze in the under-16 equivalent – no mean feat considering her young age.
Both girls, who attend Carluke High School, train locally as members of Law and District AAC and Law under-13s coach (and proud mum) Lesley McNicol is delighted at the girls’ success.
She said: “It was a fantastic achievement by both of the girls and a lot of the credit should go to their coach Julie Boyle.”
