WORKING a 70-hour week is commonplace for new Carnwath Golf Club professional Graham Gormley.
And workhorse Graham (39), of Lesmahagow, is focusing strongly on doing his best to spearhead what he sees as a much-needed revival of junior coaching at the club.
“Youth development here was terrible at one time,” said Graham, who turned professional in 1996.
“I want to see a great improvement in that aspect of the club.
“I want to get our junior scheme up and running and thriving, with a buzz about the place.”
Graham takes youth coaching at the club between 6pm and 7pm on Thursdays, part of a busy itinerary which also includes men’s and ladies coaching, club fitting and club repairs.
