CARNWATH mixed martial arts ace Graham ‘Afterburner’ Turner will be trying to win his second Scottish title in as many months at the Play Drome in Clydebank this Saturday.

After landing the Vision lightweight title a little over a month ago, he now has his sights set on the On Top featherweight belt.

Turner (24), recognised as one of Scotland’s finest ever fighters with 18 wins from 25 professional bouts, will battle it out against Italian Gianluca Scottoli.

The Carnwath ace said: “Scottoli is Italy’s number one featherweight. He is very good off of his back and likes throwing up submissions. He’s also a wild striker.

“I am sure he will plan on throwing some wild strikes and will be looking to take me down and try and look for a submission.

“But I’m very confident in my skills going onto this fight.”
