IN Gazette Sport this week, we reveal how ace Forth fighter Scott Forrest made history by becoming the first Scot to win a medal, when he took silver at the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Armenia.

Lanark Swimming Club member Jack McComish is celebrating his selection for the British squad competing at the Deaf Olympics in Bulgaria next summer.

Biggar’s Ellie Savage has just been honoured as Scotland’s Under-17 Women’s Bowler of the Year after her fantastic 2012 campaign.

And we reveal how Team Lanarkshire under-16 badminton squad – including Carluke’s Jordan Philip and Alistair Orr of Forth – won the Scottish Inter Area Championships in Glasgow.
